Some will wait for you with your slippers by the door when you arrive. Others will snuggle at the foot of the bed when you sleep. Some may actually take over the whole household as if it were their domain. They love us and we love them - our pets!

In this contest, we want you to take a portrait of your best companion, be it your cat, gerbil or dog as shown by Freya brought to us by MrsHjort.

Please understand that we are not looking for candid shots and only your pet may be in the image, no humans allowed. As an additional twist, your image must be in black and white so you can't rely on impactful color for success.

As always, composition is very important in this contest as is your background so take that into consideration when taking your picture.
